The National HPV
Vaccination Program
As part of the National Immunisation Program, the Australian Government is providing the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine Gardasil® on an ongoing basis through schools for 12 and 13 year-old girls. Between 2007 and 2009 the Australian Government also funded a 2 year catch-up program for 13 to 18 year-old girls in schools and 18 to 26 year-old women through general practice and community-based programs.
