Health Professionals FAQ
Will I be paid for notifying the HPV Register?
If
you are a general practitioner and have administered a HPV vaccine dose
to an eligible female (12—26 years for Gardasil®), you are eligible for
a payment of $6.00 for each notification to the HPV Register.
Eligible vaccinations are those Gardasil doses
administered as part of the program from 1 July 2007.
The program finished on 30 June 2009, all females in the above age
groups must have started the course with their first dose of the
vaccine on or before 30 June 2009, and completed all 3 doses by 31
December 2009.
*Note: Eligibility is from the age of the first year of secondary
school in your State or Territory. It may be 12 or 13 years old.
Contact your State or Territory Health Department for details.
Many providers have been storing HPV vaccination data as instructed by the
Australian General Practice Network.
Unless instructed otherwise by your state or territory, you can
continue to collect HPV data in this manner, or you can use the HPV
Register Vaccination Notification Form (single dose).
